Swimming Lessons
I was pretty impressed. Lane was doing it by himself.
They also taught different techniques to get them used to floating on their back
As you can see, he's like a bug or turtle, he hates being on his back.
and of course, there was the singing and dancing.
Matt, my darling husband, was the only adult male in the pool besides the instructor, who, let's just say, would be more interested in Matt than in myself. ;-)
The rest were moms and the dads were out taking pics. I was pretty proud that he was in there doing the hands-on stuff!

Independence Day
Hope everyone had a safe and happy 4th. We had a really good day. The weather was really nice...a perfect day for boating at Lake Hartwell! Our friends have a lake house with a doc in their backyard and a pontoon boat so that's how we spent our 4th. It was so nice.
I don't have a picture of the two of them together...I'm bad! But you should see Lane and Beckett together. They're so funny. Yesterday Beckett plopped down in Lane's lap (I don't know where my camera was?!?!) and they were both just playing with different toys like it was an everyday occurrence for them. Hilarious! They feed off of each other and I swear they have their own little language cause once they get going...LOOK OUT!

We were cracking up at him. He didn't know what to do with himself after the life vest was on. He was just sitting there while we all laughed and if you made eye contact he would flash the cheesiest smile ever, but he wouldn't move his hands or face...just his eye balls!
Eventually the relaxation of the boat set-in and he took a nice snooze (laying down..unlike Beckett!) while we cruised the water. And we didn't really have to worry about him rolling off the seat because he couldn't move!

Another Summer Day
at the pool. Lane REALLY likes the Splash Pad now. We head over there after spending some time wading in the pool. He crawls all over the place. This is a time where I wish he could walk. His swim trunks cover his knees good enough, but ouch on the toes. He got smart and started crawling with his toes in the air. Ha! Maybe a pair of water shoes will do the trick!
This is what it looked like outside literally less than a minute after we got home. NO idea where it came from! Only lasted an hour or so.

And now I am off to finish getting ready...I have a date with 2 handsome boys!

More hair, less teeth
Sorry about that last post...if you know our relationship, you know it was done with utmost respect and really just to make each other laugh.....because who can't laugh at someone signing their name b-o-x?
So anyway...
We've been a poolin' the past few days. It has been super nice out. Really hot, but not too humid which is sooo awesome! Just Lane and I have been going and today we invited Heather and Beckett, who I mentioned earlier this week. Remember....he was the one with LESS hair than Lane.
PROOF:

We had a blast. The 2 boys splashing and playing back and forth in the pool. We'll be sure to get together again.

A Brighter Day
So the sun came out just in time for my Mom, Dad and Luke to leave. Oh well! Maybe next time. I guess they were paying for the 70* weather we had when they visited in February! Even though they didn't enjoy any sunshine.....we did take the lil' fish swimming and here are some pictures.....
