I had a huge belly. Man that thing was huge.
Isla was Parker's age.
Lane looked like a baby.
And we spent the weekend with our friends.

Yeah, we bought a house this weekend. More on that later.
We had a bunch of showings this weekend (they must have known we bought a house) so we needed to be away from the house. It was a really nice day so we met Carter, Devon and Noah at the zoo. (Lisa was stuck in Asia due to the earthquake) Lane and Noah are super-BFF's. It's so funny to see. They get so wound up in each others company never letting the other one out of sight.
These 2 mimicked the monkeys that we saw, if you ask me.
I don't even think they needed the zoo to enjoy themselves. We could have dropped them off in a giant field and they would have ran around after each other for hours!
It wasn't all about the boys, although they were the ones that kept us on our toes yesterday!
Parker and Devon were there too!
We have another day planned with them (more showings) today. We're hitting the "Return to the Green" festival downtown. Supposed to be an even nicer day than yesterday.
Even though there was a whole 'nother night and day spent with our friends, I have nothing to document it but some extra pounds from consuming entirely too much pizza and cake (for me! how sweet!), a few bags under my eyes from lack of sleep, sore abs from laughing and some really great memories of conversations that we had. Oh and a charge on my credit card from Aunt Bug's Cabin rentals (hey, we said we wanted CHEAP and CHEESY)...we're taking this show on the road in April to Pigeon Forge, TN...Dollywood here we come!!
was this for most of the day today.
We started off in the morning meeting with friends for a walk to Falls Park and a picnic. We ate, fed the ducks and ran around. Lane was referred to as the "big kid" (crazy!) and Parker was the only girl. All of the other little boys were around 16-18 months and they seemed like babies compared to Lane. (Even though when Lane was that age I didn't feel that way.) We had fun with the group and then decided when they were ready to leave we would stay a little bit longer.
The day was just too nice. So we walked down Main St. and rode the elevator and Lane had a snack in the stroller
and Parker slept.
After a loooong walk, we headed toward where our car was parked and stopped to play at the train for the second time this week. It doesn't move or make noise, but apparently he can't get enough of it! :-)
I fed Parker
and directed a game for Lane that was essentially running hills. Haha! But he loved it! "Run and touch the fence. Now run and touch the tree" "OK!!!!! Momma!"
They are both currently out cold and have been since we got home! I love fresh air for more reasons than one!
Earlier this week, we went to my friend Emilie's house for a play date with her little boys. As we were getting ready that morning, Lane said "I wanna tie momma and a mustache." The tie I can do, but the mustache? I told him he had to wait 20 years.
So my son is the one who wears a tie on play dates.
We agreed that Sam and Lane look more like siblings than her boys do.
Parker was there too. She actually rolled from back to belly for the first time that day! Em and I were on the floor talking with Parker laying on a blanket and the next thing we knew, she rolled herself over! Such a big girl!
I love weekends like the one we just had. Spent together with family doing fun family stuff! Ok, sorry if I sound corny, but I seriously love weekends like this.
Saturday morning was Breakfast with Santa and after that we went downtown to enjoy the beautiful weather. Lane ran around
and Parker snoozed all snuggled and warm on her Daddy.
I snapped pics and took in the sights and sounds of Christmas.
We were able to ride the trolley.
And in the evening we went to Roper Mountain Holiday Lights.

On Sunday, yes I'm still talking about the weekend, :-) we met the Mathey's in Columbia for a day at the Children's Museum!

After a little lunch and a nice visit, it was time to head home and end our weekend!
Another baking playdate with our friends Angela, Jade and Cole! Angela has had us over for TWO baking play dates this week. The first was pumpkin bread. Lane had so much fun. We owe them BIG time! I told her maybe for Christmas the kids can come mess up my kitchen!
They both did quite a bit of tasting.
