3 1/2 and 1 1/2

When I was talking to my Dad on the phone last night, it made me sad to hear him say that he turns on his computer at work and checks the McConville blog and the Full blog every morning. Especially sad because I've been letting weeks go by without updating! Ahh! So this post is for you Papa!

Lane had school pictures today so I took advantage of his "nice" clothes and dressed Parker in a little dress before we went to pick him up and then I took them to the Children's Garden.

Parker's Pinboard

One of my projects right now is working on getting Parker's room decorated. I wanted to do pink and navy, but Kim (my friend and interior decorator) could NOT find any pink and navy fabric. So we expanded a bit and are throwing bits of navy and turquoise in.

Here are the fabrics so far:
I will probably pick out a few more fabrics for pillows. The bright pink quilted fabric will be a pillow and we also used it to cover a board that her name will be displayed on. The middle fabric will be a cushion for her bench seat. The bottom light pink link fabric will be her window treatments.

Here are some things I've purchased to accessorize. (that's the fabric for her bench cushion)

Here's her name board. We (Matt) covered a piece of board in that bright pink fabric above and I painted her letters turquoise.

The board above with her name on it will be mounted on this navy blue board below. Matt used an old piece of scrap wood and his jigsaw to make the shape:

But currently that board looks like this:

As I mentioned previously, Mac Kid is working with Pottery Barn Kids to promote their summer items. My selections have been made and I am waiting on these things to come from them:

Blossom Peg Tree

Capiz Chandelier

Lahaina Bedding

Savannah Stripe Sheeting

Light Pink Anywhere Chair

I think that's it! It's kind of nice to see all of this together. Hopefully it will look good once it's all in her room!

A Weekend Cocktail

Our weekend was filled with fun and it isn't over! Friday we started with a Bikes and Trikes Playdate at my friend Susan's house.

Friday night was Parent's Night Out at the Y. So we dropped the kids off (Parker in her PJ's) and headed out with our friends. We went downtown to Friday Night Jazz and then out for Sushi.

Saturday morning we went to Whole Foods for a Pineapple Party. It was a small event for the kids-crafts, snacks etc. We had fun!

Then we went to Costco (I swear, we go there once a weekend partly for the shopping and partly for the samples ;-) okay, mostly for the samples! hah!) Parker was nearing her "end" because we had a late night on Friday so we went home and put her down for a nap. She slept for 4 1/2 hours. She needed it!

While she was sleeping, we worked on projects and did some stuff in the yard.

Harley loves his new freedom of roaming our yard!

While we were letting our stuff dry, we had a catastrophe. One fell over and ended up looking like this:

Scattered with the contents of our yard! So on the agenda today, is fixing that!

We ended the night with dinner outside. I think I was sleeping by 9:20.

This morning, my little mama and I are baking bread and having a tea party while the boys are out getting us Starbucks! Hope you all had a great weekend!

Easter

Our Easter started on Good Friday with Matt being off. We took a trek to PB Outlet for an ottoman I have been eyeing, but it was gone. :-( Time to start stalking again. We finally got the 2nd part of our couch, so I am ready to get the living room furnished and accessorized. Hoping to get rid of our bookshelves and get something on our windows. More on that later!

After PB, we went to Costco and finally got our tree swing!

Lane was going in for a hug and I just happened to be snapping away. I guess you can say he was a little excited!

Then we colored eggs...again!

This would be the result of a 1st birthday party at 11, then a cookout at 3 with a 10 minute nap in the car on the way to said cookout and then coloring eggs at 7. The girl was toast! 10 minutes after this picture she was bathed, read to and sleeping!

Since the kids sleep in until 8 and I had to wake up Parker 5 minutes before we left for 9AM mass, they had to wait to find their eggs and look through their baskets until after church.

I'd say the wait was worth it!

We had a nice day. I always cook a frittata for breakfast and then we had ham and sweet potatoes and green beans for dinner. We spent most of the day outside working in the yard, taking walks and playing with the kids. The BEST!
