Flashback Friday

Besides for Lane waking up every morning and asking to go to Tennessee, we haven't been up to a whole lot. The alternator went out in our car so I've been running (literally running) everywhere. Like to get Lane to school, meet for playdates, etc. My double stroller, which I wasn't sure if I could use as a double jogger, has been worth it's weight in gold for the past 2 days! And it does act as a double jogger and I love it!  I've actually kind of enjoyed my time car-less....sort of. My friend yesterday joked with me and claimed that I just live downtown and sleep under the bridge. Haha! I had that stroller packed with my laptop, a picnic lunch and all the necessities. Did I mention I LOVE that thing!

We had 2 days of being car-less and today I am sore and ready to have the luxury of a motor vehicle on 4 wheels.

Today's post is flashing back to 2 weeks ago when a certain baby girl found her groove! And she can groove, let me tell you. She sometimes doesn't even need music...just the command to dance!

When did this happen?

1 year, 5 months, 1 week, and 6 days ago I gave birth to a tiny miracle. (well he wasn't THAT tiny, but after he was out he seemed that way)

Yes, I thought it was a miracle that he grew inside of me and 9 months later was ready for the world.

But as the past 17 months have come and gone, what is even more a miracle to me is that this:

Is now this:

A bouncing toddler who stands on my couch while watching Sesame Street

and eating grapes. :sigh:

And says things like this:

It really is amazing. In 9 months he was ready for the world, but only to live in it. He needed us for the rest. And in just under double that time he's ready for a cookie. :sigh: What next?!

Thanksgiving '08 with Lacey and Tyler...and guess what...Lane was teething...yup his first (of many) teeth were cutting through last Thanksgiving. I remember thinking why is he so awnry? And I was sooo glad when his first bottom teeth poked through. Little did I know it would be a whole year of teething. Ha!

What a baldy.

I was scared he'd never grow into them!

Then we put Lane in his swing, he fell asleep, and we got down to business!

It was a fun Turkey Day...I only wish Lace was here to go out and shop with me today...and Tyler was here to occupy the boys while we did said shopping.
