Quite possibly....
THE weirdest experience of my life...
I really need to write this down as it happened 4 hours ago and it's slowly slipping my mind...
First of all...as I type I am enjoying this...go get some if you haven't tried it....HEAVEN! Yes, it's Chocolate Underground...it's yogurt, um-Yum!
So in the parking lot of the grocery store this morning, a guy read my palm. Yes, that's right. A 70-something-of-Indian-decent and also a brand new grandfather read.my.palm. Yeah, I know!
It started quite innocently. He noticed I was pregnant and asked me a question about where he might find a banner for his daughter's room. She just had a baby and he wanted an "It's a boy!" sign for the hospital. I suggested the floral dept. of Publix, apparently, since he was already there, he thought that was a good idea!
He asked me what I was having and I told him it was a surprise and then he proceeded to tell me that he might be able to tell if he looked at my palm. Um, ok?
So then he took my left hand and read away. I'm not a super believer in this stuff, but man, this guy was RIGHT on. I was in awe. He continued to read for almost 10 minutes and told me that he could tell me a lot more about my life, but that he didn't want to make me stand out in the heat much longer. I couldn't believe it!
Some highlights:
- I will have 2, possibly 3 children.
- I have great health and he said "You are so fortunate to be so healthy."
- He did say that I have had some obstacles with my health in the past 2 years, but have overcome them (read:kidney stones)
- He told me that my husband and I have a super relationship, he was like "Oh wow!" as he felt the meaty part of my thumb, he told me lots of love and happiness and he used the word sensual??? He was 70 and didn't go into detail about that, but I was glad cause it was kinda like talking to my grandpa. He also said it's a relationship to envy. I don't really believe that it's enviable. Everyone can have a happy, strong relationship and we are certainly NOTHING to envy.
- He said that I have had a falling out with a family member recently and at first I couldn't think of what...but as the day went on, I realized what he was talking about. I won't go into detail, but it's something that has happened and it's distant.
- He told me that I have made a career change. That I started my career one way and have since changed. (read:quit my teaching job to stay at home)
- He told me I have a warm heart and lots of kindness, all while feeling my hand and I'm guessing it had to do with the temp...it was 90-some degrees out! ha!
- He also told me I have talents waiting to be discovered. He couldn't tell me what, but he said I need to find them and develop them and I will be successful.
- He told me that I am longing for a close circle of friends. That I have many acquaintances, but I really want to find a few close friends and have them there for guidance and support...I'd say he is right on!
- He told me I can be stubborn and once I make up my mind, then it's hard to change it....that is SOOO true.
- He told me that in highschool or college I had a few small bumps in the road. I could only think of when Matt and I broke up for a little while.
Funny part was, I wasn't at my normal grocery store. I wasn't even grocery shopping. We were cashing in a huge jar of change and I went to the bank where I was told they don't count change. They told me to go to Publix, which was right next door and they had a change counter. It was fate I tell ya! Somehow, some way this is going to come up again...I just know it! Read more...
