More Christmas in Greenville

We've filled the last 2 weeks with Christmas galore! We celebrated at Lane's Happy Birthday Jesus Party, where he did not sing one line of any of the 3 songs. He would sing them at home, but not during the program. 

We made Holiday treats for our neighbors.

This is what my kitchen looked like during that day....a MESS!

The treats started out very disastrous as well, but I finally figured out (after 3 bags of chocolate chips) how to properly melt it.

My kitchen assistant got bored in the kitchen so he turned to digging in rice.

The treats turned out pretty cute and edible to boot! (They were actually quite tasty)

We spent one night last week celebrating "Christmas at Heritage Park"

Albeit it was 68 degrees at 7 o clock, but they had Rudolph and fake snow so we got the feel. I can't say the hot chocolate was very appealing though. (Parker was checking out the "snow")

This is a typical Lane thing whenever we do something out of routine. He was scared of the train because he thought it was going to be loud so he asked to ride in the stroller and covered his ears.

The "Big, scary" train Lane was "afraid" of.

He did want to talk with Santa again though so we stood in line to visit with him. Can't say I'm digging the background very much. I think I will buy them a white sheet or something for their back drop next year! I mean really...a BLUE TARP. Hah!

And we also had a cookie decorating play date. 

 Lane created a masterpiece and we left it out for Santa LAST NIGHT! More to come on our Christmas.

Christmas in Greenville

Well first, there's the decorating which I've already shared with you. This year, I put up lights and garland and ornaments and a tree outside as well. Here are the kids "helping" me.

Then came Breakfast with Santa.

Lane:"I want a tow truck and um, um, um, um"
Santa:" How about Santa brings you some surprises too?"
Lane: "Okay!"



Parker was all like "Okay, as long as I don't look at you and you don't look at me then we're good. I'll just glance off this way until it's over."

Then there's the Greenville Christmas parade. With covered ears and all!

Eventually, after an hour, he uncovered them and Parker loved it even though she was a bit under the weather. 

The weather was very favorable this year. In years past, it's been frigid (for the South)!

(At the end Lane says "Hey Mom, Santa wants to go in his sleigh to Hillcrest (which would be our house)
And Parker fell asleep in the Ergo.

I'd just like to add in this disaster. I spent the better half of 4 hours on Monday finishing this wreath. Minutes after I hung it up on the front door, someone came over and knocked it off (on accident) and it cracked in 3 places. It now sits in the garbage can outside. :-(

That sums it up around here. We're all a-buzz about Christmas. Lane is TOTALLY into it this year and it is so fun!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

The Elf is showing up in random places to keep his eyes on good little girls and boys.

And his morning we caught him eating french toast sticks on the microwave.

We're attempting to finish up Christmas cards,

Still lots to do but, it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas! 

Matt and I are heading out tonight to Christmas shop for the kids. :-)
