I am a born and raised mid-western girl now living in the deep South. I married my junior highschool sweetheart and the love of my life in May of 2006.
We started our family with an adopted German Shepherd named Harley soon after.
In the fall of 2006 we were given an amazing (but hard for me to see the amazing part) opportunity to relocate for Matt's job. He is a successful engineer at Caterpillar and has truly made a name for himself in Greenville. I soon found a job doing what I love, teaching the minds of America's youth, and settled in to call Greenville home. Although at times, it was hard for me to be so far away from family, we have learned to "survive" on our own and in the meantime we gave our families a great place to vacation...frequently! We wined and dined and took in the culture in Greenville and in November of 2007, we were blessed with the wonderful news of adding to our family. McBaby was due to arrive on 8-08-08. We were beyond thrilled and waited with great anticipation of his or her arrival. On August 2, 2008, Lane David McConville entered this world and our lives have never been the same. I started this blog as a way to keep family and friends updated with experiences, pictures, and everday "Life with Lane." I hope you enjoy our story as it continues to unfold.
