Our *Hipstamatic* Library trip
First things first...we had to read the ones we have had out for, oh I don't know, a month? (I've mentioned on here before that he hates to part with his library books. Sometimes crying when we drop them off in the drop box from our car.)
So, for one.last.time...here is Too Pickley:
Then it was onto a library program they hold every month called Laugh n' Learn for Reading Readiness. It's for ages 2-5 and basically it's 6 stations set-up that you walk through with your child and lead the activities based on their age.
We classified and sorted at the store:
Recognized letters with the magnetic board and felt board:
Stamped out letters and used dot markers to make letters:
We also did a word/picture walk and used instruments to play with syllables!
When we were done, we looked at some books and picked 2 new ones to check out and take home.
Parker was sleeping in the Ergo the whole time and she was this happy when she woke up!
Lane looked at his books on the 5 minute ride home.
And after 2 hours spent at the library, I was ready to be home. It was a nice way to spend an overcast, chilly morning though!
