Fun at the Farm

On that same snowy day we trekked on over to Mendota (where Lacey now resides). They had us over and the Fulls over for an evening of games and fun. And the best part was she cooked dinner. It was good too!

We passed Lane around while we played Apples to Apples. Men vs. women and the WOMEN won!

Starting to get sleepy, but refused to go to bed and miss out on any action.

When the game got intense, and Lane still wouldn't go down to bed, we strapped him onto Papa.

He was VERY content as you can tell.

But then my Dad's back got tired so Uncle Luke took a turn.

After the "adults" left aka Ty's parents and my parents and Lane finally gave in to sleep we set him up in the pnp in Lacey and Tyler's back room and got into an intense game of Wii bowling.

I definitely don't get the mom of the year award for taking my child to various places all throughout our trip to IL, putting him to sleep only to wake him hours later, oh around 11 or 12 and then bring him out into the cold wrapped in a blanket only for him to fall asleep on the car ride home and have to get back out into the cold to put him to bed at home.....but it was all worth it!

With the crazy sleeping habits or lack of sleeping habits he had on the trip, it sure hasn't shown since we've been back to SC. He's still going to sleep without any problem, napping twice a day and just an all around happy-go-lucky guy!

Fun in the snow

So Lane experienced snow for the first (and probably last) time this year. We had a nice white blanket the day after Christmas and he couldn't wait to get out into it. Of course we were made fun of for our "Southern boots" which were Nikes. But I couldn't justify buying snow boots for a one time use. And in my defense I bought some really cute rain boots at Target, green ones with little eyes at the toes, I figured he would find use for them here in SC, but Matt said they wouldn't keep his feet warm so I took them back. :-(

Anyway...all bundled up and ready to go.

Not sure who loved it more Harley or Lane.

Licking the snow off his face.

Even when he face planted he didn't care. Just waited for someone to come help him up.

Christmas Day 2009

Onto McConville's we rapidly flew....a picture with Grandpa Ed and his grandbaby was due.

And then all the 4 handsome McConville boys...

Lane was getting antsy he wanted more toys.

Then one of mommy and daddy we snapped...then onto more presents we unwrapped and unwrapped.

Even Harley was spolied and got a new squeaky.

We played with our new Flip from Uncle Ryan...he's sneaky!

Our picture taking was finally done. I must admit the 16 month old won.

Christmas Eve 2009

Twas 2 nights before Christmas we headed for home.

Arrived just in time for presents from a gnome. (Really it was Santa, but that doesn't rhyme with home)

Despite all the presents he couldn't put down this truck.

Ran to show Papa his present, he was completely awestruck.

We stopped for a picture of all the siblings...

Lane wouldn't look for a picture, he had his eye on one thing.

Then a musical concert...a sing-along...it was fun!

These 4 went to the kitchen while Lace and I played. (and it worked..no dishes for us!)

After the little one was tucked into bed. The Santas appeared with hats on their heads. (and Busch Lights in their hands)

Left us not wanting anything more!

Then Diddy awoke and appeared at the door.

I know there's more presents for me...let's explore!
