More Christmas in Greenville

We've filled the last 2 weeks with Christmas galore! We celebrated at Lane's Happy Birthday Jesus Party, where he did not sing one line of any of the 3 songs. He would sing them at home, but not during the program.

We made Holiday treats for our neighbors.

This is what my kitchen looked like during that day....a MESS!

The treats started out very disastrous as well, but I finally figured out (after 3 bags of chocolate chips) how to properly melt it.

My kitchen assistant got bored in the kitchen so he turned to digging in rice.

The treats turned out pretty cute and edible to boot! (They were actually quite tasty)

Ready to deliver

We spent one night last week celebrating "Christmas at Heritage Park"

Albeit it was 68 degrees at 7 o clock, but they had Rudolph and fake snow so we got the feel. I can't say the hot chocolate was very appealing though. (Parker was checking out the "snow")

This is a typical Lane thing whenever we do something out of routine. He was scared of the train because he thought it was going to be loud so he asked to ride in the stroller and covered his ears.

The "Big, scary" train Lane was "afraid" of.

He did want to talk with Santa again though so we stood in line to visit with him. Can't say I'm digging the background very much. I think I will buy them a white sheet or something for their back drop next year! I mean really...a BLUE TARP. Hah!

Parker's not too sure of the big guy.

And we also had a cookie decorating play date.

Lane created a masterpiece and we left it out for Santa LAST NIGHT! More to come on our Christmas.

We're Baaccckkk

We hadn't been downtown in over 2 weeks because we were gone!

The Tuesday we got back, I drove down there to return library books, but we didn't have time to stop. As we were driving through Lane said, "Umm, I think maybe we should go downtown?" He apparently was missing it too!

So Friday we hit up Main St Fridays. So fun. None of our "regulars" were there, but we still had fun with just us.

Parker had some grub and watched all the action.

I was so caught up in the downtown experience, I let my son drink Hog Wash? Really? I have no idea!

Once the music started to wind down, we were hungry and decided Barley's was in order for some pizza! Even though it was 9:00 when we sat down, both the kids did great. Lane ate his pesto pizza and Parker got her first taste of pita and black bean hummus!

When we were done, we wanted to take a walk to Falls Park since it had been so long.

Parker's going through the "I don't like grass" stage.

It was a late night so everyone slept in on Saturday morning.

Our Sunday in Pictures

The weather has been a-w-e-s-o-m-e here. One of the things I love about Greenville is that there is always something to do when it's nice out and even though it's essentially the same thing, with a few changes here and there, it NEVER gets old. Love it!

The day started with a visit to Starbucks that we enjoyed outside.

P was very uninterested in anything but her toy and the strap to the stroller

Really? Can you pah-lease get that thing outta my face, momma!

I have a feeling it won't be too long before she is munching on pink doughnuts or scones just like her brother.

We didn't really have anything on the agenda so we strapped in the littles and let Lane guide us.

He informed us he wanted to go see the animals, so we walked to the zoo, stopping to explore along the way...aka...to feed Parker. :-)

When we were done going through the zoo, we realized we were probably closer to home, but still had to walk back downtown to get our car. Needless to say we did a lot of walking. But it was great!

When we got back to Main St. we stopped for a quick snack and some lemonade and tea before calling it a day.

Love this little profile.

Of course, when we got home, we played outside until the sun went down because this little guy wanted to.
