"Christmas Morning"
We're heading to IL tomorrow and will be spending Christmas there so, as usual, Santa made a pit stop in Greenville a little early.
Santa placed the kid's stockings under Lane's tree in his room. When he woke up he forgot to check under his tree. (Even though he has been checking since the tree has been up!) So I reminded him and he went to plug it in and said to himself "Hey! Who put these stockings under my tree?" Then he realized there were presents in there. :-)
He opened this claw thing and played with it in our bed for the next 30 minutes. (Best $5 Santa ever spent!) Parker played with her book and she got a pair of red Christmas shoes. (Santa has good taste)
We came out for breakfast and Lane was still oblivious to the fact that there were more presents for him. I guess he thought the claw was his Christmas gift. So we continued to make breakfast and then Matt asked him if he checked under the tree and then he ran over and started tearing into them!
Parker wasn't super impressed with any presents. She did like the trucks Lane got. And she did play with her cupcakes, but she was really content with carrying around the boxes.
Then the assembly of Christmas gifts started. Really only one toy needed some intense assembly and only one needed batteries. Santa did good this year!
Christmas aftermath
The rest of our day was spent playing with new toys!
We cleaned windows (and by we, I mean Matt-Merry Christmas to me!)
and took a walk in the evening to check out the neighborhood Christmas lights. Read more...
