Mother's Day 2011

was spent with a bunch of animals!


No really...it was! After a nice relaxing lunch at my fav,




we went to Hollywild. It's an animal park with tons of exotic animals,


where you can walk and visit the ones contained,


a Z-Donk (zebra-donkey hybrid)










and hop on a safari bus



to visit the ones not contained.





and feed them crackers from the side of the bus.


Despite the fact that it looks like we went to Africa for Mother's Day...we did not. Just a short 30 minute ride to the SC countryside and this is what we found!


After a little nap on her Daddy, she enjoyed this view...can you blame her?! Not a bad view :-)

Weekend!!!!

One of the best!

I think I always say that about the weekends though...

We started off at Main St. Fridays. It was our first of the season...and probably NOT the last. Tables have turned though. We used to spend the majority of our tickets on beer, but Friday the majority of our tickets were spent on Bounce House tickets.


Lane had a blast.


Saturday we went APARTMENT hunting...oh boy. It seriously brought me back to college. We are aiming for low budget...my requirements are a pool and....A POOL.

We are moving out of our current place at the end of May and will hopefully be in our new house by Thanskgiving.

After apartment hunting and some lunch we went over to our good friend's house to hang out for the evening. Lane LOVES Noah and they had a blast.

Sunday we went to the Waffle House for breakfast. It was a first for me. Very interesting and definitely a trip worthy of its own blog post....


After breakfast, Lane road his bike and then we took a ride to Furman University. It's a college campus about 5 minutes from our house and it's one of the most beautiful campuses I have ever seen! We used to go there all the time when we first moved here, but we hadn't been in a while. There is a big lake with a trail around it and all the flowers were in full bloom!

You say tomato, I say gelato!

Sunday Funday for us consisted of spending some time downtown. It was a crisp and breezy 70* day...perfect October weather. We went to Falls Park to let our biggest little burn some energy. While our littlest little caught some zzzzzzz's.


 It was nearing lunch so we decided on paninis and gelato at Luna Rosa.

Lane mostly ate gelato. When he was done with his...he zeroed in on ours!


After paninis and gelato, we burned more energy before nap time.
